Mid-week IDPA Match Location: Koro Range Contact: Gay at 920-602-0080Set-up starts at 0800. Would appreciate as many shooters as possible to help. Match begins at 0900. 5 stages with varying degrees of movement and difficulty. This is the match for beginning IDPA shooters. (dates are on activity calendar)
Match fees are $20 for Non-Ripon members, $15 for Ripon members. Please bring exact fee amounts.

NRA Basic Pistol Course
The Ripon Rifle and Pistol Club will offer the Official NRA Basic Pistol Class to members and friends. The class will be taught by certified NRA Basic Pistol Instructors.
THE COURSE:
• This is a basic pistol course for individuals who want to learn more in depth and gain more hands-on experience with the pistol..
• NRA Basic Pistol Course teaches the basic knowledge, skills and attitude needed for owning and using a firearm safely. Students will learn about the firearms parts and operation, ammunition, gun safety and handling, and selection of a firearm and much more.
• Textbook and course materials are provided ( as well as a test!)
• Hands-on learning opportunities will occur in the following areas:
o Firearm safety
o Firearm parts and operation
o Ammunition and its function
o Shooting fundamentals and development
o How to select, clean and store a firearm
o Review of activities available to develop and improve shooting skills
Class Time: 0800 to 1700 (may run longer)
Location: Ripon indoor range; 679 Union St (south of Ripon College Auditorium)

Equipment needed: eye and ear protection, a baseball style cap and a good attitude. (Pistols will be available to try) Any pistol is OK to bring ( preferably one you want to use in the future). If you don’t have a pistol, do not bring or buy one. Ammunition: bring 100 rounds of .22 LR ammunition.
